Alumna awarded first prize in 13th MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Awards

Jennie Tolfa, (M.Arch.'13, B.S.'10) is a junior architect at Luca Peralta Studio, an Italian design firm based in Rome, and was a designer for the firm's project which recently won first prize for the Architectural Review Future Project Awards in the category "Old and New."

The Architectural Review offers prizes for architectural excellence in un-built or incomplete projects spanning across twelve categories and are hosted at the international property event MIPIM, held annually in Cannes, France.

The awarded project titled "Transforming Social Houses into Sociable Homes," was recognized for its visionary solution for the regeneration of an abandoned social housing project in Brescia, Italy namely the Tintoretto Tower. This project was sponsored by the Ordine degli Ingegneri di Brescia to find the best proposal for the regeneration of the Tintoretto Tower prior to being sold in a public auction.
